G76 threading with cutviewer turn1/8/2023 This invokes the tool to advance at an angle as it takes successive cuts, ie follows the angle of the thread`flank so that the cutting action is made with the leading edge of the insert. The last 2 characters is the included angle of the thread form. The next 2 characters is for Chamfering amount where the tool withdraws from the thread. The first 2 characters is Repetitive count in finishing (1 to 99) As Tom stated this is Series 16 format your machine may be set for Series 15 if its not accepting the first G76 line. I'm guessing the R on the 2nd G76 is the taper angle and the 2nd P is supposed to be the K?Īny help would be greatly greatly appreciated, machine is waiting on me. Here's my question I'm trying to program 1/2-14 npt threads(I.D.) I programmed the bore with the 1.783 taper to it(mastercam x2) and I tried using there threading canned cycles which I've never used always just hand coded my threading cycles. ![]() Hello, I'm very new to this site and posting on here.
